It was raining heavily when I went to school to print something today. After waiting for 15 minutes at the printer, I decided that the rain was fairly bearable so I walked along the sheltered walkway to my faculty. Everyone was maneuvering their way through the pavement, stepping on the dryer parts. I was glad that I wore my platform slip-on shoes rather than my sandals which I briefly contemplated wearing.
The dry side of the pavement was to the left because it has a little elevation, but I saw someone coming along that was walking through the middle, their shoes nonchalantly stepping on the puddles. It was my friend Lokesh that I got to know when I was an OC during June 2015 orientation. Probably he doesn't remember me now.
Because he can only recognize voices. I haven't spoken to him or came across him frequently in these months so he probably doesn't recognize my voice anymore.
That is because he has a special condition that affects his sight. He doesn't see like us. He needs things to be very magnified. When he takes exams, he has to take it alone in a room with the questions specially projected on a screen. It was a lonely image.
Perhaps with this condition, he wasn't able to see the ground very well, and hence just carried on walking without adverting the wet areas. But I thought, maybe because of this action, he was able to walk faster than the rest of us. Then I was thinking about weakness as strength, and this might be one of those circumstances that apply. Just keep on keeping on.
Weakness as Strength
