I was hoping this day won't come because that means my immune system is weak enough for it to happen, but alas, it happened. Just thankful I don't catch fevers easily.
It started on Monday. In the evening, I suddenly developed hot and cold flashes which lasted throughout the night, and it made me wake up every 30 minutes to an hour. What crept me out was that every time I looked at the time on my phone, it read like this "2:55AM, 3:55AM, 4:55AM, ..." All sorts of horror tales started casting their dark limbs onto my brain, threatening me to imagine non-existential things. The whole house was dark, which was rare because usually some of us stay up, and inside my heart I was wishing that nothing will show itself before me, as stories I have heard started to visualize.
The next day, I managed to make it to class although I was 'too relaxed' in class, I probably missed out some parts of the tutorial. But hey, attendance! I'm glad I went because we were being taught some new things and my brain could still take in some info. No afternoon class, so I went back and took 3 naps altogether for that day, although one was after dinner. For some reason, food gives me energy but also makes me super sleepy these few days. Not even that tired, just really sleepy. I conjured up some energy to do an assignment so at least I wasn't feeling that bad as if I were to not do any assignment. Before dinner, sis and I helped our junior Afif with his photography. We shot near the school lake and I could feel things biting my legs but I couldn't see them. I was still not feeling really well but I tried my best. Hope the pictures come out good. =)
For the next days I just slept a lot (even when I was visiting my relatives' house) and my assignments are advancing at a snail's pace. I had a one on one presentation yesterday at Madam Nicki's room and I didn't even complete it to the checkpoint. But she was quite encouraging on the ways I can improve and didn't roast me that I didn't meet the requirements. So thank you! You really made my day.
Yesterday, I finally went to see a doctor because my fever was not subsiding and my sore throat was getting really bad. I was coughing and sneezing as well, and there were bug bites on my legs in which some were turning black in the middle because I scratched them. The doctor recommended me to take an injection for my fever plus the bites, which will make the scars heal faster, but because it costs RM180, I decided against it. He reasoned that "You are a lady" and I was like "...". Is that all? I mean, I know his intentions but if without the injection it could still heal, albeit slower, I'll take that, thank you very much. Later, I joked with Mom that "The marks can heal faster than I can earn RM180". Turns out the bug bites were not bug bites but they are an allergic reaction from something in the air. I was thinking it could be from my bedroom in the apartment near my university, or it could be the area near the lake that we did the photoshoot (because I have never been there before).
So basically, the source of my ailment is because of the scorching hot weather (and sometimes with sudden rains) and my food intake. I eat so much fried chicken and fried rice and other fried things. I have lost control on my nutrient this semester because I didn't cook (we cooked a lot last semester because we had time). I ate out a lot. Now I have to start over and be conscious of what I put in my mouth.
Sickness, sickness, go away.
