Volume 8, Chapter 31, Page 218 (Sweet 19th Birthday To Us)

Happy Birthday, Birthday girls.

Yesterday midnight, we were thrown a birthday surprise by our close friends. It was at then did I realize that my close friends might be many, a contrast to what we used to have. 8 of them were there and then Man (from RahMAN, not woman man) joined later. They came out of the dark alley/corridor holding a white round cake with melted candles. We didn't know what to say or how to react as we scanned the faces behind Panda who was holding the cake.

We took too long; we were supposedly in the toilet and they were going to wait for us to come out (I assume), but we took a walk around campus instead before appearing from the other side. By then it was 10 mins well after midnight and the candles melted. When I asked about it, they said the fire can't be blown off so they had no choice but to watch its life sadly being consumed until it forms a wax puddle with parts of the candles sticking out.

It was a funny and unique trait to our night though.

We couldn't blown the candles so we just proceeded to the cake-cutting. Cake cutting is always a two person affair for us and for me, it feels special. I've never celebrated my birthday alone and I'm thankful I have someone to share this date with me. We get to look forward to it together, plan some stuff, do a mini celebration with us, or just chat about things in general.

The person I wanna see the most on our birthday would be Mom. She is the one we have left so it has always been just us three, though I am blessed with a HUGE extended family so every birthday is really happening. This is an anniversary of the day she felt the most pain, but also the day she felt the most joy. And also the day she finally got to see her twin daughters that she formerly only got to see on ultrasound.

After the cake-cutting, we rationed equal pieces for everyone and then gave one slice to the security uncle who happily thanked us, saying "Oh, its two person's birthday! One person is special, two person makes it even more special!". I am just happy he is happy and I thought there couldn't be a more happier moment.

Jared later showed me briefly that they had a group created just for the planning of this surprise which Ken deemed as an 'epic fail'. Was touched by their effort. (; More credits to Giang for initiating this surprise and managing to get our close friends together which consist of the swim club and JCS people and a few people in between both clubs, like us.

I was more surprised though that Aarun was there. Not to say he isn't close with us, but I always thought he was a little distant as he spend the least time with all of us. I actually just started having normal conversations with him this semester as I wasn't that familiar with him for the previous sems. As I do, he also does make an effort to chat with me, which I appreciated a lot. I understand him more now though I'm still quite not sure how his person is so I hope that we can further talk to each other.

But, he likes to make lewd actions/comments. =.= Which is like our main form of communication for now. He slowly licked the remaining cake off his paper plate and then look up at me wtf. And when especially sis and I eat something, he would find a way to comment something really weird and sexual.

Its his thang I guess but despite him always doing these stuff, I've never once felt that he was scary or creepy. When he is behaving like a normal person, it is okay. Everything is fine. Sometimes I just can't keep up or make lewd comebacks because its embarrassing. <.< And just not my thing.

Oops, time for Media Appreciation now - to class I go!

~*~*~*~

Today I discovered that I can hack into our room without a key.

Today I also discovered that we have a lot of friends who love us very much and a mother that no one can replace.

I never thought I deserve this, still am wondering. Since entering uni, everything has changed.

Went out at 4:30pm and came back at 12am. First, we sat at Starbucks (Ken, Eli, sis and I) till about 7. Then we went to Ken's apartment to get his power bank so sis and charge her phone. Met up with Mom back in uni and drove aaaaaall the way to Sunway Pyramid to have dinner. Ken, Eli and also Giang came as well. It was sooo fun.

Mom paid for everything though and they tried to ask her to take their moneh. After Mom left (we follow Ken's car back to uni), they tried to force us to keep it until it becomes a subtle physical fight HAHAHAHA. But nope, not gonna take the moneh and you can't force us. :3

After Sunway, Ken briefly mentioned One City because we passed by there and we thought it was a great idea since Giang is terribly afraid of heights. He was sweating at our description of the place alone.  Nevertheless, despite his struggles, we still went up to the rooftop!

Tried tricking him that a part of the floor is not actually see-through by casually walking over it until he realizes the ground and stepped back a few meters lol. It took us a while to convince him and it wasn't easy. Have to give him motivation and devise a plan but we finally got him to stand in the middle. He said he hates us. His hands were so sweaty it was as if someone washed their hands and never dried them. So intense.

I'm glad he made it to the middle though - it is a great feat for him. :)

So sleepy now, goodnight everybody! Thanks for this wonderful day!

Voon chatted with me for a while and she said she missed me when she saw my pictures. Made me wanna cry. T^T
