Volume 7, Chapter 26, Page 183 (Roommate & Clubs And Societies Registration Day Cover Picture)

Le roommate woke up early at 7am-something - not before setting up several alarms of various tones and volume. =.= Tis the story of my every morning. That is not all. She will also switch on the lights as long as she is awake (the room heats up as a process). Even with a table fan, once the lights are on, it doesn't help. Le roommate doesn't likes opening the windows for some reason, thus disallowing air circulation in the room.

True story : I open the windows and curtains to allow air circulation and she shuts back the curtains. Now that she has successfully switched tables with me (so that she gets the desk with the window), she permanently shuts the windows and curtains, even using clips to hold the curtains down in place.

She wakes up early everyday no matter what, so sis and I also involuntarily 'wakes up' every single day.

For the mornings when I was the only one awake, I will just open the door a little, just enough to illuminate my desk which is beside the table. I'll do my activities as quiet as possible and be considerate. In my former room, even when any two of us are awake (I had a 3-person room), as long as there's one person sleeping, we won't switch on the lights.

What more, le roommate also likes turning the ceiling fan speed up to 5, the maximum. Well maybe its a matter of preference but I've always only turned it up to 4 because I am paranoid that someone would accidentally overturn the knob back to 0. It doesn't feel so different anyway, just that 5 sounds louder.

It wasn't to say that she is not a pleasant person - she is, maybe sometimes too pleasant. She will willingly borrow us things and talk to us, but its just that out living habits are contradicting.

Okay, class time.

~*~*~*~

FINALLY, I have time to see to here a little. It has been a very full day. After Media App. class, I went back to my room to do my English assignment but halfway through, I got a call from a frantic sounding Ghaya whom requested if I can help her do a cover picture for the clubs and societies registration day that can be used in FB.

Here's the catch; she needs it by tonight.

Well, obviously there would be doubts and seeing as I have a lot of assignments piling up, I was reluctant for a little bit. I pushed the thoughts to the back of my mind and said "Yes, I'll try doing it.". She was so thankful and felt so bad that she had to ask me to do it. Partially, I wanted to do it because I think that if I didn't take it on, she would go for Eli or Man instead, which I don't really want as they have so much to do always. It also seem like a fathomable road for me to embark, which is working in school events in the creative division just like Man and Eli. We need more FCM manpower honestly...

And so I did it. Used up a lot of my time and also brainpower because I was not used to it and thus digging my brain for ideas and designs. While I was creating it, a whole load of my lecturers' reminders and study notes float into my brain involuntarily - 3 fonts max, complimentary colours, can people understand this, font size, target audience, aim, special effect brush, download, bla bla bla...

I took a lunch break and then went back to working on it until about 4 or 5pm. I let Man know too so that he could advise a bit and keep updating Ghaya on the current form so that she can comment on it. I neglected my English assignment for a while hahaha. By the time I was finished, my head was so heavy and I felt like sleeping.

Showered, washed my hair and force myself to finish up the remaining of my English assignment because I have loads piling up. I have too much social activities going on up till now omg... I go out too much and the lecturers are behaving like this is just a 2-month sem and not 4-month. Perhaps they are making it cramp in front so that we have time later on.

Okay, so here's the cover picture. First attempt at school event stuff.

Quite proud of it I guess. :)

There were process of course, before I finalize it.

I like it when it is simple without the logo and stuff.

After finalizing the thing, I realized it gave me the same feeling that event banners/posters/cover in my school gave me. I figured out it was because of the compulsory MMU and TM logo that we have to include in anything. Actually without them, it looks even better but well, rules are rules. :3 Just have to find a creative way to put them (not that you can be anymore creative because the MMU logo has to be at the top left corner no matter what).

O-right, I am kinda burnt out now and I need to oversee a few more things in my assignment. Hear from me next time!
