When I woke up in the morning, there was some serious mopping going on outside the room door that requires three workers to do it. I was wondering why there were sounds of people talking and then opened my door and peeked out. I stayed in and ate my breakfast before anything else.
I'm so disappointed there were no hot air balloons! /.\
This is the closest to a balloon I will ever see.
They were testing it or something. So big!!
Today I went to check out the hot air balloon event with sis and Jared at about 10am and there were no balloons so we waited. Still no balloon after an hour or so. We toured the place and walked around having given up the hope of seeing it. We made a plan to come back at 4pm for the next session.
Today's trio
It was nice of Jared to ask us if we wanna go see the hot air balloons because I wouldn't have known otherwise. Also first time going out just three of us, which is quite fun!
To compensate for the lack of hot air balloon pictures, I shall put pictures from our walk-around instead. My camera was wasted because I didn't get to use it. *sigh* Pictures all taken with my phone and it was too bad too for the balloons because the day was bright and beautiful!
In order to get into the Picnic Area, we have to purchase something from the store lining the area. A girl came to tell us that and Jared just turned to the nearest booth, grabbed a bottle of water and said "Oh OK, I'll just buy this." >.< So thick face.
Sis and I bought the flower pot ice-cream again! It seems to be the trend now.
Yay, flower~
Mint again! Mint has the illusion to make melting ice-cream taste like it is still cold.
It was pleasant. We sat on a spacious bench facing the lake and chatted relaxingly.
A timeline of Malaysia's history
Drove off to IOI City Mall to watch the Spongebob movie which was honestly boring. It felt like watching a marathon of Spongebob episodes (I don't usually watch Spongebob) that has no conclusion or climax. :/ It didn't make a lot of sense though I thought the element of random in the movie was funny. There were few people in the theater, probably less than 20.
Near 4pm, we went back to the balloon place to check it out - still no balloons in sight. :( Jared read online that there was some sort of accident though we don't know what it was. We gave up and made a plan to watch Birdman in his Cyberia apartment. Birdman wasn't really interesting for me (one of those movies that I am constantly waiting for the interesting parts to come) and I felt like I almost dozed off at some parts.
He made a Pusheen figurine for us to see and we waited for the plaster to dry while watching Birdman.
On the way back to MMU, Jared mentioned that tomorrow is White Day but then he remembered he bought us a bunch of chocolates because his Mom and sis accidentally ate my Valentine's Day chocolates that I asked him to keep in his apartment refrigerator. He compensated with more chocolates than my two little small chocolates. He said he feels guilty so that is his guilt chocolate.
New dress debuted at last.
Sis and I took our time to walk around the school just now until the sky grew dark. We met a Nigerian who was coming out of STAD and I felt weird when he walked behind us. Turned out he was from Lim Kok Wing and the ATM there was broken so he came here to take out money. He didn't know how to go back out to The Arc so he asked for directions. Most probably it was due to racism and stereotype, he took out his The Arc resident card for prove and also his passport. "I like to prove things; it's my habit." Made me kinda sad thinking that just because he's black that people will stereotype him as the students that comes here for fun and make everywhere unsafe.
I admit I was a little worried at first but later found out it was nothing. We led him to the small lane beside the small Cyberia gate. "I am probably too old to be talking to you," he said to us and then when we asked, he said he is 32. In his passport, I saw his birthday on 10 April 1982. We said it was OK and we talk to people of all ages and he seemed to relax. "I'm scared that people will embarrass me." He explained that it is a frequent occurrence at his uni. I don't think it really matters to me what your age is as long as you're talking...
When we reached the narrow lane, he was actually a little anxious because it was dark and the first thing he asked is if there were snakes. He is scared of snakes. I said no worries and picked up a branch that fell to the ground nearby. I know it isn't going to protect us from snakes if they do come out, but I just wanna make him feel safer. Sis used her phone light to light the way. Halfway through the lane, he said he will be OK and he'll take it from here so we bid each other goodbye and went our way.
I like these kinds of short term friends. I just need to meet the side of them that I'll always remember.

We went back to uni yesterday night and wanted to prank/scare Giang. We hid at the wall beside the mini mart so he won't be able to see us if he just walk straight without turning his head to the right.
Selfie while waiting for cue
We were constantly at Ionization watching his every move because he has his location on so we could track where he was lol. I feel like a spy. We waited for quite some time, feeling paranoid that when we peeped out from the wall, he would be there already. I think we freaked out a bunch of Indian guys walking back to the boys' hostel in the process... We went to look for a stone to throw behind him in case he missed us.
When he was close enough, I could hear soft footsteps and then he just passed us by. I honestly thought our plan would backfire but it didn't so it was all good. :3 When he was far enough, I threw the stone a few paces behind him and he stopped and turned around calmly. It took him a while to register that we were standing there and when he did, "Eh why are you both here?"
"This goes to prove that humans are indeed the scariest!" - Giang.
This boy is getting older every sem and he actually looks like an adult now.
Looking at him, it made me think of my friends, that every one of them will grow up someday and be like him. Like an adult. It feels so strange. I never thought it would be possible for him to look any older lol. Maybe because he was groomed for intern. He looked pretty good like this that I was surprised.
Maybe it was because he was shocked or you know distance makes the heart grow fonder, but he was maintaining eye contact more than usual which feels pretty weird. Sis and I talked about it today. Guess he is more appreciative of us now hahahaha.
So sleepy, good night.
