Volume 3, Chapter 10, Page 63 (Babysit Ching Ching)

This is my challenge today.

Po Po started looking after a kid, whom we all call Ching Ching, a few houses away. The thing is, she cannot stop crying.

Po Po carrying Ching Ching with Evelyn to the right.
Looking at this picture, I noticed how grown up Evelyn is already. *sheds tear*

She wants her Mom and she don't want anything, not even toys. It was so bad even when I tap her shoulder or call her, she'll burst out into tears. The person she is most comfortable with in our house is our grandmother (who is VERY AMAZING with kids). Po Po managed to make her stop crying.

Gong (grandfather) is quite annoyed and didn't want Po Po to take in any kids. After seeing Ching Ching in action, I know why he is so irritated. Ching's  voice is really loud when she cries and it can get frustrating. It'll take her some time to familiarize herself with this routine, and I hope it is sometime soon.

Fell asleep from exhaustion caused by crying.

She slept for less than an hour, which is baaad. She woke up looking for her Mom and I occupied her with my attention. She cried a little and I carried her and sat at the kitchen. I must have stood motionless for about 10 minutes because I was afraid of distracting her with my movement and have her crying again. She silently watched Po Po doing chores in the kitchen. Later I sat on a chair because my back is dying and asked Elena to fetch my phone for me from upstairs.

Picca!
(My arms died too.)

Elena is actually such a good girl. I knew she was mature for her age, but never knew she could handle these situations well. She isn't jealous and tries her best at calming down the crying baby. I'm so thankful to have her. She keeps me entertained too by constantly staying by my side and chatting with me, though she may not know how much she made my day.

Snapped by Elena whom offered to take pictures of us haha.

That tiny, tiny bag on my shoulder is Ching's. I think she feels unsafe if her things aren't with her. She saw her bag and she pointed to it and cry, demanding it to be taken along with her, thus the reason I had it on my shoulder. Elena kept laughing at me, saying it makes me look like a kid, because it is ridiculously too small for me. I admit it is funny too lol.

Snapped by Elena again! (Me and a crying Ching.)
She seems to be quite excited to be able to use my phone to take pictures.

Later, Po Po went to do her laundry and she somehow didn't cry and was just walking around near Po Po. Now she knows how to say "Po Po"! I think it's because we keep repeating it. "OK, go to Po Po ha." "See, what is Po Po doing? She is cooking!" "Po Po is hanging to clothes." All in Cantonese. It was a little weird speaking Cantonese with a kid at first because I have never tried. We turn out sounding like we are speaking the Cantonese dubs in Doraemon, etc.

Ching Ching looking at Light.

She went over to the tank by herself and attempted to open the lid. I am glad she wasn't scared of it cuz Po Po said she was scared when she first saw Light.

Overall, she was hard to deal with. Just hope she gets along better soon. I didn't get a good look at her and when she stopped crying, I realized she actually is a cutie. So, lesson: Don't cry so much or you might obscure your beauty. :P Just kidding.

On an unrelated note, I watched 50 Shades of Grey with sis today, online, and I am kind of disappointed by the emphasis on the sex scenes. OK, I know that is a major element in the story but still. I kinda like the storyline and I think it would be better to not focus so much on the sex part because the 'normal' scene has a deep emotional trait which I think got wiped out by the sex scenes. But each one to their own opinion. :)
