Nowadays I am very addicted to Elastic Heart by Sia. I like the song, I like the mood, I like the concept, I like the dancing.
Richard came to pick us up today in the afternoon so that we could go to Mr. Lee's open house! (Mr. Lee was our Form 5 Physics teacher.) Lay Si invited us along the other day but I didn't know it was Mr. Lee who was initiating it - I thought she was about to randomly go to his house.
Many power transmission poles along the way
Mr. Lee's house was really far away and not near the main, busy parts of Puchong, so it took us some time to find it.
There was A LOT of students in his house, I was shocked. Every year, he told us, he would have an open house for his ex-students (and students) for CNY so I guess we would be coming every year now hahaha. Glad to see he was still cheerful and luckily he still remember our names. Right from the start, he gave us ang pao! Gong xi fa cai!
I didn't know Coca Cola was having these special edition CNY cans.
This goes to prove how outdated I am lol.
For the Coca Cola cans, they have different characters on them. Sis got Happiness but the rest of us got Wealth so someone must have printed a lot of them or something haha! We sat around talking, migrating to 3 places (first outside near the Sun, second still outside but under the shade and third his kids' study room). For me, it wasn't so depressing as the last time I went out with my classmates mainly because most of us that came were girls, and they are usually more accommodating. I begun to think that maybe it's not the whole class that don't talk to us, but rather is it just one gang of people that affects the whole class. They didn't come today, so I was secretly thankful because I got to talk normally to my closer classmates.
We got a tour of Mr. Lee's garden too (and did he have a lot of plants!). He have papaya, mango and roselle plants (and educated us on how to fully use the roselle flowers), so Chiok Yuen asked him to plant durian and rambutan as well. A teacher is still a teacher. :)

What I noticed is how casually-dressed our batch was compared to the batch one year above us. They really put effort into dressing! They came, and they all looked beautiful and handsome and groomed. *.*
We went to Qie Wei's house (I'm not familiar with him but well, friends can be made!) to bai nian (CNY visit) and got ang pao! This year I have this automatic habit of saying "Gong xi fa cai!" whenever I receive ang pao haha. I have no idea why; I never did that all these years before. Somehow gatherings (with family and friends likewise) isn't so awkward anymore now that I am in uni. Has university life change me somehow? I would like to think so.
Ate dinner with Lay Si's family (Chiok Yuen came too) and Chiok Yuen was so sociable. It is her natural charisma that makes her so approachable. I like being with her because she is easy going. We got ang pao as well so that means I have three ang paos today! First time bai nian at friend's house and here I was since the first day of CNY, wishing that I can bai nian at my friends' house. Now I'm happy. *\(^v^)/*
On the way to the restaurant we were going to eat with Lay Si's family, Chiok Yuen somehow talked about how she had never been in an accident before and we were like "Touch wood!". It was at night too so better don't say these jinx-able stuff lol. It almost happened when Richard forgot he had to turn left and suddenly Lay Si yelled a little and he quickly swerved left. We almost hit the triangle divider thing. Choi!
Later back at home, Richard created a chat for us so he could send us the picture with Mr. Lee and I told Chiok Yuen to bring wood out next time.
