"Come down now"
Yesterday Giang suddenly sent me a pm and then scared me a little because it sounded so grim. -.- I was planning to sleep early yesterday night but I was afraid that he might call us down to eat the tong yuen (glutinous ball) so I stayed up a little longer, about to go do my assignments. I spent some hours watching dance videos on Youtube before that HAHAHA. And then when he sent that pm, I went down and met him in HB3 canteen.
We waited a little before sis came down and then he took the plastic spoons for us and we begin eating! Except he didn't take a spoon for himself. So we gave him one, and we shared the other spoon.
I would say our friendship is a little low key and strange. He's so much older than us - he's in his final year, and we are just Foundation students - and is practically our big brother already. Aside from Annie and Shamala, I don't think others know we are this close. Actually we weren't this close at first. He was just someone I chatted with almost every night, initially regarding the Aquathlon (sis and I were the photographers) , and even so, usually our conversation is based on necessary stuff only. I don't know how I found so much necessary stuff to talk about lol.
And then we chatted a little like normal friends and went out for supper with the swim club almost every week so I got to know him better. Sis isn't in the swim club, so she didn't follow along but now she is free to come with us! Unofficial swim club member haha. Once when sis and I were eating dinner, he came back from the pool and then walked over to us and we chatted. Blah blah blah, sis and all the other friends (that were coincidentally there as well) went to JCS (Japanese Cultural Society) post-mortem and I asked if he was rushing to go back to him room, he said no, and we stayed and chatted.
It was a looong chat - we ended it at 11pm. I talked so much that I got a sore throat and I felt so damn tired afterwards. ~.~ It has been so long since I really sat down and chat with a friend and get to know them better. Quality time is what it is. I appreciated that. ;_; I was surprised he didn't shut me up lol!
"I talk a lot, right?" He agreed. OTZ But he listened anyway. I got to know more about him since he is willing to share too, so all is well. I dislike people that just talk talk talk or not talk at all. Personally met more talkative people than non-talkative people. Not to say I hate them, but it is so so exhausting having to hear someone talk and then you get little say in it. =.= I feel like I am listening to a documentary and even if I change the channel, the same narrator will be on except with different topics.
Last week, Giang took us out to DPulze! It was my first bus ride experience from school and I am glad it was with them. ^.^ We called him out to dinner cuz we wanted to hand him his Ironman Pusheen and also a Christmas gift, which is a I <3 SG shirt initially meant as a prank. We told him we didn't buy anything for him in SG (even though I told him way before that I shall be kind and buy something) and he fake cried a little. Never would we have imagine that he would be touched. Even I feel happy looking at him. He was so speechless he could only say "oh my God" repeatedly and then he thanked us for the shirt.
I think I finally learnt the feeling that even small gifts that may seem insignificant, is a treasure to some. It was so apparently chucked in front of my face and I can't stop staring at him being grateful for the shirt. We have one too and the three of us are planning to wear it together one day! XD He said he will wear the shirt on Christmas. So sweet~
