Winter Solstice with Sis and Senior :D

"Come down now"

Yesterday Giang suddenly sent me a pm and then scared me a little because it sounded so grim. -.- I was planning to sleep early yesterday night but I was afraid that he might call us down to eat the tong yuen (glutinous ball) so I stayed up a little longer, about to go do my assignments. I spent some hours watching dance videos on Youtube before that HAHAHA. And then when he sent that pm, I went down and met him in HB3 canteen.

We waited a little before sis came down and then he took the plastic spoons for us and we begin eating! Except he didn't take a spoon for himself. So we gave him one, and we shared the other spoon.

He went over to his friend's house along with a few other friends to make the tong yuens.

I would say our friendship is a little low key and strange. He's so much older than us - he's in his final year, and we are just Foundation students - and is practically our big brother already. Aside from Annie and Shamala, I don't think others know we are this close. Actually we weren't this close at first. He was just someone I chatted with almost every night, initially regarding the Aquathlon (sis and I were the photographers) , and even so, usually our conversation is based on necessary stuff only. I don't know how I found so much necessary stuff to talk about lol.

And then we chatted a little like normal friends and went out for supper with the swim club almost every week so I got to know him better. Sis isn't in the swim club, so she didn't follow along but now she is free to come with us! Unofficial swim club member haha. Once when sis and I were eating dinner, he came back from the pool and then walked over to us and we chatted. Blah blah blah, sis and all the other friends (that were coincidentally there as well) went to JCS (Japanese Cultural Society) post-mortem and I asked if he was rushing to go back to him room, he said no, and we stayed and chatted.

It was a looong chat - we ended it at 11pm. I talked so much that I got a sore throat and I felt so damn tired afterwards. ~.~ It has been so long since I really sat down and chat with a friend and get to know them better. Quality time is what it is. I appreciated that. ;_; I was surprised he didn't shut me up lol!

"I talk a lot, right?" He agreed. OTZ But he listened anyway. I got to know more about him since he is willing to share too, so all is well. I dislike people that just talk talk talk or not talk at all. Personally met more talkative people than non-talkative people. Not to say I hate them, but it is so so exhausting having to hear someone talk and then you get little say in it. =.= I feel like I am listening to a documentary and even if I change the channel, the same narrator will be on except with different topics.

Last week, Giang took us out to DPulze! It was my first bus ride experience from school and I am glad it was with them. ^.^ We called him out to dinner cuz we wanted to hand him his Ironman Pusheen and also a Christmas gift, which is a I <3 SG shirt initially meant as a prank. We told him we didn't buy anything for him in SG (even though I told him way before that I shall be kind and buy something) and he fake cried a little. Never would we have imagine that he would be touched. Even I feel happy looking at him. He was so speechless he could only say "oh my God" repeatedly and then he thanked us for the shirt.

I think I finally learnt the feeling that even small gifts that may seem insignificant, is a treasure to some. It was so apparently chucked in front of my face and I can't stop staring at him being grateful for the shirt. We have one too and the three of us are planning to wear it together one day! XD He said he will wear the shirt on Christmas. So sweet~

Yesterday while we were playing our phones, he switched the camera to selfie mode (OPPO N1 Mini, the one with a rotatable camera) so that it is facing us, trying to make us feel awkward. But then both of us tilted our phones so that it is facing him instead. ^

For the first time, my phone is so smart not to focus on the nearest object. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it is properly focused on him lol.

Secretly, I am happy that he took the tong yuen back for us. T^T He also brought some back for Annie and Shamala. They had known each other (plus James) since Foundation and I think it is so sweet how they are still besties.

Sometimes I am just so grateful that we met him - it was a lucky encounter. Sis already knew him back when she just came in because he was an OC during her orientation (and also his only time being an OC), but I only heard about him from sis as the 'swim club captain'. Not anyone of interest as he was someone I didn't know.

The first time he met the both of us together was when we were having dinner with Michelle (whom was a DM during sis's orientation and sis kept in touch with her) before our first Career Fair meeting. "Why you both same face one?" he said and then we retorted that it was because he swam too much and the chlorine damaged his brain so he is having double vision now. I have no idea why I was able to be so insulting to him when it was only my first time meeting him. @.@ Rude max lol. And then our conversations consist mostly of insults and funny things and that's how we became friends. :3 But now we chat about more serious and normal stuff - more like friends.

Omg I am a motormouth when I am with him.

OK! Some update stuff now!

Eating tong yuen at home a day earlier~ Didn't just eat 18 only according to tradition.
We were supposed to eat the number of balls according to our age.
Of course I didn't eat all of it.

I finally, FINALLY wore the band Voon bought for me all the way from Sarawak!
She sent it in a parcel to the camp back when I was still in camp.
Adaline said it is pretty~

A leisure drawing at last. ;_; Which I finished at about 2am.
This is a little different from my usual style, somehow more realistic.
Its good to explore. :)

Remembered that my laptop has a webcam. -.- I totally forgot about it until yesterday.

Doing VRC assignment while working! This was when my students haven't come so I get to have a bit of free time to do it. :)

Went all out to decorate the sketch book haha. Too bored.
It bugs me how ABSTRACT is too far to the right. ;_;

Not going to swim tonight because we are gonna practice for Japanese Cultural Night (JC Night) which will fall on the 8th of January. But! We will be going to the pool to bathe loool. Giang said it is OK. And then we will tag along for supper. At least I have a bit of social life since I go out almost every Tuesday night to have supper with the swim club.

JC Night ni ganbare!
