Rollcall: 6:30am.
We had to be beside the canteen at that time and although I walked down 10 minutes to 6:30am, I was almost late. *phew* The female DM and almost everyone were already there and I quickly joined the line according to groups.
When everyone was there (including the late ones), we had to sing our university's anthem - Permata Dunia. I admit I still couldn't sing it then because I didn't have the lyrics. It was supposed to be in the students' handbook but OC Angie and I searched for it yesterday and it wasn't in it.
We had to snap photos of the lyrics and sing it from our phone for the first few times.
It was hard to maintain a happy face (OK, I didn't even try) while singing it - we were supposed to look happy. Too low on energy, I had to focus on the lyrics. And it didn't helped that I was second in line.
We had breakfast, the day went on as usual with more briefing in the MPH.
On the way to the MPH~
Beautiful day
That's my would-be faculty - FCM! The oldest and most colourful building on campus.
Somehow pole-dancing became kind of a routine during orientation lol... And Anaconda. So you can guess how crazy it was.
The emcees pole-dancing multiple times on stage
Trying out creative moves
There's 2 screens in the hall and I don't know how they expect us to read prints on it. QAQ
It was so damn small! Sometimes I don't even bother.
We have an OC Bucket where you can put in recommendations or compliments or confessions or anything and they will read it out on stage. During June intake, as the number of submitted papers were too high, they only read out some but for Oct intake, they read most of it. So you could say I was afraid to send in anything. Furthermore I didn't know what to send in even if I did.
Someone requested an OC to go up on stage. He was quite cute and wasn't constantly in the spotlight so the students wanted to embarrass him. They often call out the OCs that aren't active on stage, poor them. In the end, the OCs that went up were either cute girls OCs or stoic, serious-looking OCs so it was quite funny.
The OC in dark blue shirt got requested to do pole-dancing to Anaconda
and he asked the emcees to do it with him.
My anaconda don't
My anaconda don't
My anaconda don't want none unless you got bun huns~
"Wear sports attire. And bring blindfold," the male DM said and we were all like, blindfold? After lunch we changed into our sports attire and I was panicking whether I had a 'blindfold'. We can't wear white shirts but I found a white shirt and I was like QAQ. I dug into my luggage and fortunately found a purple shirt. <.< I thought it wasn't packed in... So now I have something to wear and a 'blindfold'. *thumbs up*
We were divided into groups once more and headed to the field to play games versus other groups. The first game was for each person from a group to battle it out on a limited space by holding one leg and jumping around and trying to get the other person out of the 'ring'.
I didn't do it, thankfully. It would have been embarrassing. OTZ But I vowed to play the next game because I wanted to be of use to my group. Second game was net ball, but it was hard for me to catch the ball, somehow. The tallest person had to be the goalkeeper and I constantly hung around the opponent's goalkeeper so when the ball came and I jumped and... I couldn't get it.
Third and last game was dodge ball - oh I loved it! I could run around! Guys (2 by 2) have to link arms and lock each other back to back and girls will be the 'fence' in front of the boys. Girls will have to throw balls at the guys from the other group and girls from the other group have to catch it and throw it back while trying not to get thrown at. If you get thrown at you're out. In the first round, it was a mess and I actually got thrown at unsuspectingly but luckily they restarted the game and I rejoined the game - nobody noticed I was actually out. *sly smile*
After all the games, everybody gathered at a court and we all sat down and were told to blindfold ourselves. No peeking! By then, it was drizzling and was about to rain. The OCs ushered us quickly and told everyone to put on their blindfolds. It was hectic as students complained and made a fuss about the rain while I sat in silence behind the comfort of the darkness from the blindfold. It was somewhat peaceful and calming listening to the commotion behind my covered sight. It was as if my world had been partially blocked out and was replaced with peace.
"Remember your first day..." an OCs started to say quickly while the students continued complaining. The next few sentences were incoherent - all I could think about was what sis told me, that the OCs did this 'remember your first day' thing too except their's was on the last day and a lot of people cried. Well, that definitely wasn't the case at the moment. Water rained down on us and shortly after larger water splashed down on us. Water balloons!! The OCs started throwing water balloons at us and some people screamed with shock and I waited a moment before the girl in front of me told me to take off my blindfold.
All of us begun rushing to our bags and then running to the hostel for shelter because the rain was picking up intensity. Zuk and gang picked up the water balloons and started throwing it at each other. I kept thinking about people with periods - it would have been unfortunate for them! I walked quickly to the hostel and saw Augustus Waters once again. Passing him, I picked up speed as the sky cried. Maybe it cried because we weren't crying for the 'remember your first day' thing??
I took a bath, washed my hair and blow dried my sneakers because it's the only pair of shoes I've got. ;_; Blah, blah, blah - and then we had to meet up with the group again at the room we were at yesterday. We were allowed to play a short game only as we had to plan our performance so once again I sat beside Yuto.
"There is a frog," someone would say. "Jumps into the sea," the next one would say. "Plop!" the next next one would say and it repeats all over again except on the second time we have to say the phrases twice, then thrice and it goes on until someone trips and we have to start again. I explained it to Yuto and when it seemed like he got it, our conversation would get messed up again. In the end, we had to skip our turns and when we were ready to play, the game has already ended.
Quickly we got about practicing and brain-storming our performances. Our theme was 'werewolf' and the 2 songs offered to us were 'Thriller' and 'Bukan Cinta Biasa'. We had to learn the chorus dance part of 'Thriller' for our performance... I wasn't keen on it but then it was OK if everyone is doing it.
Yuto told me that he won't be available in the morning tomorrow so I had to pass it on to Zuk. He seemed a little panicked so I had to assure him that I will definitely get it to Zuk. Jeff came in a little late that night and I grabbed the opportunity to chat with him when everyone is listening to Zuk explain the performance's plot. We chatted about what course he will be taking, his age, how he and Zuk met and a little bit about himself. He reminded me greatly of a lost little bird - crippling, unsure, trying to be assertive. I listened and talked to him like how I would to my students (no, actually I think I talk to most people like my students) and he is awfully informative about himself. I'm just wondering if he talks like that to everyone.
But I have to give it to him for revealing that much about himself. About his insecurities and where he gets his strength (from Zuk). I became apparent to me that Zuk is his role model, I guess I can see why. More so than anything else, I felt proud of myself to be able to strike up a conversation with someone I clearly wouldn't have a chance with if I had been my usual self.
Late night came and when the meeting was dismissed, people left the room as fast as lightning. I went and retrieved my bag and when I turned around, everyone was gone save for Zuk and his gang and Yuto. Hmm, fast. Yuto came to me and I told Zuk that he won't be available tomorrow and I took the liberty of asking for his phone number in case Yuto had anything and I had to inform him. Actually I had planned to get his phone number but I didn't know how, so Yuto's request was a blessing.
And so all of us went down - I said goodnight to everyone and left.
Bought my kogitsune with me~
Relaxing in my room~
Whenever I reached my room, my room mates were already there. They actually skipped the meeting by pretending to be sick lol... Me = Good student alert?
The view from my room at night, so beautiful~
After washing my face and brushing my teeth - tired face haha.
I could sleep well that night - I made sure the windows were closed and I slept with my head at where my feet should be again. The next morning came too soon.
