That's way too quick.
Its finally my 18th birthday, and I'd always imagined me going on an outing with close friends and have a blast, but now I'm sitting in front of the computer at my work place, where I also take art lessons. XD Just had breakfast and sung (like every morning) to Barbie songs and danced to them. Yes, I grew up with Barbie movies and I still love them. :3
I made sis and I a matching keychain (I hope she wouldn't read this blog today and ruin her own surprise haha). Currently I have no plans for my birthday except to go to lessons and then pick sis up from uni and maybe a small celebration at night.
I told Elena to get all correct for all her spellings (Malay, English, Mandarin) and said that she's only get a spoonful of cake for every correct answers (if she didn't get all correct). LOL She took it for real.
The first one to wish me was my sister! At midnight, but I didn't reply because I was asleep. I wanted to wish her Happy Birthday before I sleep, but I can't go onto FB cuz the line was unstable. I should have called using the house phone (cuz my phone's credit expired). The second one was mom, in the morning after I came down from the bedroom. I actually have to remind her yesterday that today is my birthday. ;_;
Then it was Sherron! She's the daddy of our group of 5. Then it was Lay Si! The youngest child. Our friendship family goes like this:
Daddy - Sherron
Mommy - Li Ying
Eldest Child (Son) - Dion (sis)
Middle Chile (Son) - Fion (me!)
Youngest Child (Daughter) - Lay Si
Sherron was daddy because he is the most masculine and father-ish out of us all, and Li Ying is like the mommy figure. Then the child's rank follows our birthdays. The both of us are sons because we often crossdresses. LOL
And then some friends also wished me in FB. FB didn't show my birthday somehow - I used to be bitter about it, but now I don't mind because I don't have to reply to every birthday wish and also I can know who actually remembers.
I'm still not 18 yet because I was born at night! Haha. I shall recap what I went through and experience while I was 17 (which meant it was after my 17th birthday). It was undoubtedly the most unexpected and eventful year for me. (My aunt just wished me!)
Arnor Crepe, Sunway
My first time eating at Arnor was last year, on my birthday. It has become my favourite place for eating in Sunway. :D Their crepes are so yummy, but the special crepe (for the ramadhan promotion last year) is not sold anymore. ;_; Nooo, my favourite crepe, why you leave me...

After School Escapades
(Vince wished me as well! He remembered.) Sis and I used to go to tuitions (together) and then we'd walk to my aunt's office after it, BUT, not before we put our bags there and then go shopping! XD Oh, I miss those times! We would always see this beggar uncle at the bridge and we would give money. Once, we bought him a bread and a bottle of water. And also, there would be this bunch of money-sucking teens positioned at the bridge just before IOI and they would cheat money out of people. Well, I don't know if they are sincere or really cheating money, but they won't tell you what cause they are charity-ing for and they would surround you if you tried to escape.
Once they stalked sis and I and we had to run to lose them. ~.~ But nowadays, I didn't see the uncle at the bridge. I wonder how he is...
Oh, we would also go to Secret Recipe (Why... WHY. Its so expensive. ;_;) and we befriended an uncle working there. :D He was nice. Now I don't see him anymore either. :(
Raymond, Tuition
He was our tuition teacher and his house (which we tuition-ed in) was directly in front of our school. XD He has a dog, a wife and 2 cute little kids! I love going to his tuition because I can play with them; the dog and kids I mean. XD
At first, Raymond would often roll his eyes and breath in heavily when we bombarded him with unrelated questions. But then after a while, we warmed up to each other and was like friends and then he didn't mind us asking so much anymore because we are actually learning and settling our curiosities. He opened up the world for me. Thank you, teacher. ^.^
Munchkin & Bobo, Puppy
I think they're more appropriately dogs, but I treat them as a puppy because they're cute. I was always scared of dogs, but I loved them and thus was not scared of them. >.< Munchkin is my step-aunt's adopted dog, in Singapore. And Bobo is mom's friend's dog, which she brings to the office sometimes when she works on Saturday. Omg I love to cuddle dogs so much. So so so warm and soft! I'd always have something for big dogs, I prefer them over smaller dogs (because most small dogs are perky), because they are calmer and cooler. And such dears! Munchkin and Bobo (and perhaps Maltese dogs) are some of the small dogs that I love.
Fireflies, Kuala Selangor
I saw fireflies for the first time! Although it wasn't clear or a lot (it was drizzling). We sat on a boat and I slightly freaked out by the dark waters as it was at night. It was a well-deserved family vacation. :) Oh! And I fed monkeys too, but it isn't out in a post because I forgot to write it and my hard disk is missing. (Yong Jin just wished me! Hmmm, he actually remembered.)
Graduation Trip, Singapore
I went to Singapore with my classmates, with a tour guide. It was a messed-up trip at the start as the agent in Malaysian and the one in Singapore had different itineraries. ~.~ So we woke up at midnight, reached Singapore in an exhausted state, and went to Universal Studios right after, omg. Our hotel was in Geylang, and I shared a room with sis. We went there for 3 days and 2 nights. It was fun!
The first day, we went to Universal Studios and then hung out at Vivocity and admired the gigantic Christmas tree. The rides are not as exciting anymore on the second time. I still have a love-hate relationship with the Mummy ride though! >.< We also celebrated Su Shyan's birthday! On the second day, we toured around the city~ Went to places I never went to when I went with my family. Rode a bus, so I could get a good view of the city when we went up the flyover! We always took the train so we didn't see much. On the last day, basically, we flew back. ;_; I wrote a personal entry of the trip as well, so you can see and feel from my point of view instead of from the big picture.
Comic Fiesta, KLCC
As usual by every end of the year, we would go to CF. It was uneventful for me last year, but I got to meet my friends so it was OK. (Teacher came, and I actually had the nerve to ask him to let me finish writing this before I start class.) I wrote the Day 1 and Day 2 entry in our inactive cosplay blog.
Christmas & New Year
I went out with my grandaunt for Christmas and to Soniyah's house for new year countdown. At 11pm something, sis and I ran to Raymond's house (just along the corner) and hung out there.
Nursery, First Job
It will always be a memory I have in my heart. I still think of the kids sometimes, wondering how they are doing, whether Ethan has settled in already. I still remember each of their names and faces, but I'm quite sure they won't remember me. *bittersweet smile* Sigh. I also still remember my happiness when I got accepted for the job.
I have a lot of posts on them, maybe more so than any other. They became a part of my life for that short 4 and a half days. I learned a lot in this short amount of time. I got to know what the young kids of this generation are like.
I have a love-hate relationship with the job as well. In the end, I didn't regret working there even though it was pretty stressful, to say the least. And it was probably the first time I teared in public by myself and people noticed it. <.< Apparently, it looked more obvious than I thought. The story escalated quickly, but while I was still in it, it felt like a lifetime. I connected with kids much more than I thought I could. And kids are a lovely and sweet bunch if you know how to get around them. <3
Tortoises, Dark & Light
During CNY, I bought 2 tortoises, namely Dark and Light (because of their shell colour), but Dark die of soft shell not too long after. ;_; He was a nice and friendly tortoise. Where else Light was afraid of people more and often hid. I write my Tortoise Diary once in a while.
PLKN, KEMSIS
I got my letter by March, but I had checked it out online before. I had a mix of emotions the days after I received the letter until the day I went in. I wrote entries and compiled them as 2 weeks per entry. I started writing the minute mom, uncle and sis went home and continued to do so until the last week. It was also a miracle I managed to find time to record down my journey. I'm glad I did it. And I'm glad too that I was enlisted.
Before I went in, it used to be Arghh, there's a big chance I wouldn't be chosen, but why was I so unluckily chosen out of so many people!!, but now it is Wtf I was so glad to be enlisted; there is a big chance that I wouldn't be and I sincerely thank fate for this. That big difference, sigh.
New Friends, New Beginning
Shockingly, I received 2 confessions this year.Which is a lot in my books. I also had a teeny weeny crush on a guy in camp. This is weird.
Yay, they are wishing me Happy Birthday now! XD I am a happy girl.
