This holiday, after failing to get a part time job (cuz they need people who can work for a minimum of 3 months), I decided to spend my holidays not rotting at home. In the first few days of holiday, it was a painful and boring torture. ;_; I don't want to play with my phone, can't play the computer (cuz there's always someone occupying it) and don't have the mood to read.
In the end, I watched movies as a last minute resort. God I wanna scream and pluck my hair out!!
So I decided to help my grandma out with the washing, chopping and cooking. Up until now, I'd only done veges. Meat will be kinda gross though...
Btw, I'm the type of person who doesn't do housework on a daily basis. Umm, its not like I don't want to - my grandma doesn't want anyone to mingle in her stuff. So I normally end up looking incompetent in front of Lay Si (who does most of her housework) and a few other people. OTZ
First domestic cut!
I was actually excited.
Anyway, yesterday I think I tick-ed one to-see things in my life - which was seeing an ambulance in front of my house. I know its cruel! But sometimes people are a bit weird. I'd always wondered how it'll be like.
So yesterday, I knew. My uncle apparently somehow hurt (?) his spine, the sacrum part, and he was paralyzed from the hip down. Wow, it was scary. Grandma said that his legs were cold and his sacrum area hurt. He found out it was hurting when he was bathing in the morning, like he usually does.
That day was his day off and he was supposed to bring his daughters to his sister's house to swim, so his sister came to pick them up. But then this happened, so the sister had to call the ambulance. Grandma was so freaked out and so unsettled.
The ambulance took a long time to arrive; I would say about 2 episodes of a 45-minutes per episode show. I thought it was cuz they were inefficient, but it was actually cuz they had a shortage of ambulance. Then they took quite a while to bring him downstairs (luckily he was alright /.\) and put him into the ambulance. Obviously the neighbours came out to watch and the front house neighbour came to help. Omg, thank you. Without his help, I really don't know how they are gonna bring him down since there were only a big Indian man and a small Malay lady. OAO
Then again, they took such a long time before they depart cuz a lot of the hospitals were full. Omg, so choi (ominous) that so many people had to be admitted. OTZ
Now he's in a hospital and the doctors said they couldn't find anything wrong with his spine when they did an x-ray, so he'll do a scan today.
"Nanti ni dalam kertas!" (This will be in the paper!) the Indian paramedic joked. XD
