Graduation Trip to Singapore (18 Dec) - Day 2

As per mentioned in the previous post, we went touring around the city on a City Tour the next day.

View from my bed.

Vain pics ahead.

Sis getting ready.

Went out to eat breakfast and met the guide at the lobby.

~ City Tour ~

The Flyer - SGD$33.
Didn't go up.
No money no ride.

Looking at the city, its so futuristic.
Normally we don't go to the city area that much so
this is kinda new to me.

First stop : Gardens by the Bay

So. Sunny.

I've always wanted to see this 'boat on top of buildings'~

Some insects-looking thing on the water.

A Japanese couple took this for us!
We took some pics for them too.
At least I got to put my Japanese to use!!
But as expected, my mind starts to blank out when I see Japanese people...

Their toilet was so clean...

Our bus-for-12-people-only.
And a guide and a driver.

The DNA bridge.

Second stop : Merlion Park

This is such a beautiful picture but my eyes are closed!!

Third stop : Chinatown

First we do this,

Then we do this.
Pray pray, and go into the place.

There were people reciting hymns and praying in the inner room
and I don't dare to take pics even though there's
no sign saying you can't.

The market; went in and have a look.
Bought postcards!
I love collecting postcards~ <3
There were mainly souvenirs and old people stuff, so we came out after a round.

The outside market; walked around.

It would have been beautiful by night.

Floating lantern heads in a shop where I bought butter cookies!
They were so cute and intriguing at the same time!
Btw, their cookies were great.

Time to move on to our next destination.

Fourth stop : Singapore Gems

Explaining the stones to us.
He kept speaking a little Hokkien (or was it Hakka?) so I didn't
really catch what he was trying to say. OTZ

The crystal (top right corner) was so... crystal clear.

Upstairs, where they exhibit their stone works.

Neuschwanstein castle!!! <3

No touchy.

This was so freaking cute!
I might have been the only one out of 12 to see this.
I showed it to some of them and they are like
"Why didn't I see it?!"

Fifth stop : A chocolate shop in Bugis

Since there are no pictures of chocolates, I shall present a picture
of a Bugis Christmas!
Cute snowman - please don't melt OK?

And that is the end of our City Tour! I think you can book the City Tour. It spans for 4 hours so if you are not quick, you'll end up rushing and not having enough time at the last few stops. Like us.

We only have 10 minutes at the chocolate shop. ;_; Its grab-and-go.

~ Night Safari ~

It was raining, obviously.
Why... OTZ We only got to see wet animals.

I'll talk a little about our adventure before we went to Night
Safari, which will explain why I tied up my hair.
And a whole lot of other stuff.
In another post.
:)

Their stuff is very expensive. ;_;
But there are a lot of cute things to be bought!!
No money no buy. Again.

Tram ride.

There's someone at the front telling us stuff about animals that we will encounter.
I must say that he is awfully patient as some of us were very noisy I
just wanna scream "Shut up!!!" right there and then.
Except I didn't.
Sometimes I couldn't even hear what he's saying. ;_;

Flamingos.

Can you see the deers??

Poor female lion taking shelter from the rain. /.\

Buffalos.

Pig-deers.

Female elephant.

I forgot what they were. ;_;

As you can see, the pictures were dark and noisy. OTZ

You can actually choose to walk in the darkness instead of being on a tram, but it was raining so no one did that. I must come here again and try walking! Its so creepy and exciting!! There are seriously no lightings along the trails.

Returned back to the hotel after this, showered and everyone went to Ming Jun's room again to play games. We played till it was after 1am and we were so loud. ._. I am so sorry, fellow customers. Played a series of card games; heart attack, 21, fishing, etc. I was sooo sleepy but I wanted to play. >.< Punishments were given out to losers and luckily I did not lose in any. LOL
