Graduation Trip to Singapore (17 Dec) - Day 1

So the 12 of us set off to roam the streets of Singapore!!

(Initially there were 13 of us but one had family issues... T^T)

There were 6 boys and girls so I'd say we're pretty even out. It was my 2nd time on a plane, but a first for me to be overseas with friends. The plane we took was scheduled to take off at about 8am, so we had to be there by 6. Ended up waking up at 3:45am, cuz we have to go to Lay Si's house for Richard to pick us up. OTZ

When we reached Singapore, the tour guide picked us up.

The itinerary was switched! Its was not how we planned it and we were so shocked. OAO We were supposed to be touring on Day 1 and USS on Day 2, but apparently, this was not what the guide had planned. We ended up going to USS on the first day.

My heart was not prepared for this. ;_;

We went to the hotel first to put our luggage and stuff at the lobby. At least the hotel does not look as dodgy as I thought it would be cuz, you know, its Geylang. Out hotel is situated at the 'pink' area and as the street number increases, the 'redder' it gets.

I wanted to change my clothes, so I went to the Indian receptionist - there were two receptionists - and asked about the toilet cuz I was so shy to ask the Chinese receptionist. But I don't know if he was purposely ignoring me or what!! The other receptionist looked up from his computer screen and told me in Chinese that the toilet is that way and pointed to a door. OTZ

He was so cute.

A few of us changed our clothes - the 3 of us squeezed into the lobby's toilet LOL - and then we went off.

Our hotel street

~ Universal Studios Singapore ~

First off, we aimed to complete the rides and started to queue at famous rides first. Luckily the lines were very short and we didn't have to wait long for any rides! I'd say we had played about 80% of the attractions.

Everything was in Christmas mood!

I've always loved the Egyptian area cuz I think their
statues and performers are so hot.

Later on in the day, a man carried a baby dinosaur in his arms.
It was so adorable! Children were petting it and feeling so amazing
that they had petted a dinosaur.
I was surprised how well-made the dinosaurs were!

Later, we went to WaterWorld to watch their epic live show! It was so thrilling and they were using fireworks, fire and stuff!

And it was on that day that I knew about the existence of WaterWorld. OTZ The last time we went, we didn't really visit a lot of areas cuz it was flooding with people.

It reminded me of steampunk.

As a warm up, performers splashed buckets of water onto the nearest
audiences. XD We were seated at the middle and it
was entertaining seeing people getting wet. LOL

The show begins.

That girl - Helen - was so brave!
And it was so cool how she maneuvered the boat and
climbed the structures and fought the villains.
*sparkly eyes*
And she's beautiful too.

Water to deter the advances of the villains.

The master villain.

Bargaining to let her mate go.

Catfight.

Thor!
I'm kidding.
He is so freaking cool! But he seriously kinda
represents Thor cuz he looks like him.

I am seriously amazed at their ability to move
their vehicles in such small spaces.

Omg their fighting scenes were so realistic.

Reunited! Aww...

No, the bad guys are still on the move.

Show ended!

Thanking the audiences.

He looks so creepy...

There were too many people queuing to take
pictures so we didn't queue. T^T

I tell you that boat ride pranks people!!

The same group of ladies as last year.

Still wishing that I'm the one dancing.

Played this - its a must if you have kids!
The concept is so cute and the effect, beautiful!

The hurricane!
This is a must see too!
Again, fire and huge wind~

Omg my pimples. OTZ

Lay Si with her dinosaur~
It was cute but I didn't buy it.
You will see later on which bottle I bought!

(Plastic) bread (not) for sale~!!

Reminds me of Kuroshitsuji.
I mean, that cake.

Lining up to play the space spaghetti.

No money no buy.

Shut down for the moment.

The 5 of us sat in one and it was so cramped our
legs have no space to move. OTZ

This was our last ride of the day as 4 of us wanted to walk around, take pics and buy souvenirs while the others wanted to play more, so we separated and went on our ways. We had wanted to try out that hanging ride at the Lost World but the waiting time was 50 minutes. ;_;

Went back to the Egyptian area and
rounded the place once again.

Discussing our next step.

We were unsuccessfully trying to camwhore and
a lady kinda volunteered to take a pic for us. XD
It was fun doing weird poses and just being silly.

Another camwhore attempt.
At least Elmo's still there.

Christmas show!

I love Bumblebee sooo much!!
My friends were saying what a waste it was that I bought Bumblebee
instead of the Minion (cuz they were at the same price), but I'm not
a fan of the Minions!
It would be like asking me to like a boy that everybody thinks is perfect
instead of me choosing a guy that I actually like.
LOL

At Vivocity after dinner.

Very very large Christmas tree.

And that concludes the end of Day 1~! Went back to the hotel and slept at 12am. Woke up several times cuz it was too cold (raining) and a Malay woman called to our room , but she couldn't hear our "Hello? Hello??" cuz our room's line is a lil broken.

p.s. If you noticed, I went to SG last year and early this year too. My hair was so freaking short then and looking at me now, am I glad that I decided to let it grow. OTZ

Oh! And then we celebrated Su Shyan's bday at the hotel and when we were singing the bday song while the door was opened for her, 2 uncles sang with us. XD

Photo taken from Jia Le.

It was a fun night - probably one of the most teenager-ish things I've ever done in my life.
