I think it might have been my funnest edu fair of all. LOL I don't enjoy edu fairs but somehow i did this time. It was also cuz mom left us be n we can ask whatever we want. You know how it is, awkward n stuff with your parents around... Sorry mom, you're not awkward - I feel awkward. /.\
We circled the booths we wanna visit on the directory paper n then set off. But some booths have no numbers so it was quite confusing. So we went to the Msia part first n walked around, sorrily rejecting bags from unis n colleges. I think i can open a shop selling their bags now. LOL
Also wore contacts after a looong time. But sometime later, my left eye got irritated so i took off my left contact secretly inside the cubicle n walked with slightly impaired vision the whole day. Now its still irritating, SIGH. We went to some unis/colleges (I shall call it u/c) to check out what they have to offer n 3 u/c in Msia asked, "Are you local?"
LOL If i don't look local, can you let me have the international student program so that BM will be easy? XD
Omg i'm so flattered.
Then we went to check out Japan's u/c n there were like A LOT of people. So we rounded n rounded. It was quite disappointing. Japanese u/c doesn't usually offer Arts. ;_; Most of them were technology, science n stuff. Seika Uni, why you no come?!
I was aiming for KBU if i were to study in Msia n Seika, if Japan. Then we went to look at SG u/c n there was only 1 that we were interested in but in the end, that wasn't assuring. :/ If i were to study in SG, I really dunno where i'll go. Or i'll just not go at all... ;_;
We got a lil bored n went back to the Japan area but also nothing. *cries* So we went to enquire at some Japanese language intensive course thing n there was an old woman in charge. Omg she reminds me of my maths teacher. Talking to that woman, it was kinda uncomfortable cuz she was looking down upon our Japanese skills indirectly. Just cuz we're not from a Chinese school. So what!!
She also said people's Jap course is very expensive n stuff n asked us to check out their other booth. Btw, i have no idea where it was. LOL But i was so so so glad when we finished talking.
Then mom brought us to a Jap booth n she made friend with the uncles there. They were so nice! J something Ober-something. J F Oberlin?? I dunno...
Then we became even bored-er n gave the Korea area a shot. I was very adamant about having anything to do with Korea cuz of my encounters with gushing fans. But the people were unexpectedly nice. QAQ I like them so much.
I never regretted taking that steps down their lane. ;_; They had beautiful smiles n casual behaviours, unlike the uptight n neat Japanese people. I feel like they are sincere when they are talking and they understand what they are promoting. I had a fun n blissful time walking down their lanes again n again. N receiving sooo many free gifts.
Tip: The Koreans give the best free gifts so if u like little unnecessary stuff, do check them out.
And I love the way they give out brochures - smiling softly and slowly handing you some pieces of paper.
Omg they remind me of princes. Such blissful memories.
And luckily they have art colleges! So we ended up spending more time at 'Korea' than in 'Japan'. I remembered there was one booth, the man asked if we can understand Mandarin (cuz I think its hard for him to explain in English) n we said OK.
Omg suddenly a flood of deep Mandarin accent swept me away n i'm just standing there, staring at him n nodding. OTZ But at least he understood my Mandarin, even with the huge accent difference.
There was a booth - DHU - that gives out bags so nice i wanna cry. The material is thick n if you conceal the logo, it looks as if i bought it from an organic store or something. LOL Seriously. Its gonna be my shopping bag now - bye bye previous u/c shopping bags. You have served me well.
In case you're wondering, yes, I use the bags i got from u/c to shop. So i don't have a fashionable bag or anything. I mean, you are welcome to buy me one. :)
I was so freaking tired by about 6 n i almost slept while enquiring at Dasein. OTZ Basically i was trying not to look rude when i'm involuntarily yawning n tearing up.
Hoho, bye. :P
