Sooo, yesterday (oh it seemed like a looong time ago), sis and me went to grab a drink before going to facial. We went to Niko Niko Onigiri cuz it was just opposite and pretty convenient. Expectedly at that time of the day, customers are scarce. There's just us and a man at the next table.
The waitress came (those teenagers that work part time during hols. I'm guessing she must be 15/16) and took our orders. We ordered just 2 things: a tabao (take away) onigiri and an iced green tea. That's it, cuz sis said that she wouldn't be hungry and that onigiri was for me to eat after facial. Then she was like 'OK' and then went off to place our orders.
The tea came and guess what - it wasn't even iced tea.
Rude Waitress (Niko Niko Onigiri)
Exclude leaves and add more green.
(Coincidentally their glass was also like this.)
You get the idea. Where's the ice? was my first thought. Then what happened to the volume of tea?
I was seriously disappointed. I mean like wtf?!
Then nevermind, I'll give them a chance. Maybe they just have this last glass of tea only. Then came an onigiri ON A PLATE and I was stunned. "Tabao," I told her and her face was so 'black'. She was so rude! She didn't even apologize for hearing wrongly. She went to the counter and told her friend (an immigrant worker) mockingly "Tabao," and he laughed. It wasn't just a normal hearty silly-me laugh, it was like 'pfft idiot customers' kinda laugh.
I got so freaking offended! Who does that?!
Then I asked sis to just quickly drink the tea and we leave as soon as we can. Even the drink was NOT worth the money. If you wanna do something, don't do it half-assed!
So here's the thing - I thought I may not have declared clearly my orders. But sis told me that she did hear me saying take away and I absolutely did say it.
Then after some time, she came back and put a plastic bag with the onigiri inside. We left straight after.
I had this urge to complain to the cashier, but what can he do? There's normally a man and a woman who's running that shop and they were so nice. Now everytime I dine in, all I see were mostly kids and immigrant workers (I don't have anything against them to be clear). They don't put enough effort in anything.
Like the day before yesterday, we also went there before tuition. We ordered the usual set and I swear that each and everytime I ordered the set, the potatoes are different. More so, its becoming more and more drastic. The potatoes that time were actually non-existent; I ran my chopstick over it and it just passed through. There's literally nothing to hold on to. And I'm not exaggerating. I dunno if its me or what but I felt that the food that was served earlier when they had just opened the store was so much better. You can feel the passion in it, but now, nah.
And the people used to be so nice too. Ever since they expanded (I'm happy for them), I felt like it had a different atmosphere altogether. That warm feeling was gone.
I wouldn't want to go back until those girls went back to school next year. And don't think that just cuz we're almost the same age, you can be disrespectful! Customers are still customers!
It used to receive rave reviews from me, but not anymore.
p.s. Its either them, or my face is very hate-able.
