Apparently last week, Sherron recommended that we play this game; which was the game mentioned in the title. I don't know the name of this particular game and since Sherron and Lay Si read about it in Chinese novels (which I will never be able to read :_:), I assumed it must be a game known particularly towards people who is well-versed in Chinese.
In order to play this game, its better to have a lot of people (eg: class size), But there's only 5 of us. OTZ Basically, how the game goes is that for each person, there will be an Angel, which means that the person must be a Master. The Angel will give advices to his/her (I shall use her) Master (eg: by stalking). So obviously, the Angel must know who her Master is.
BUT. The Master will not know who her Angel is, so its kind of a one-sided thing. The Master will confide in her Angel and the Angel will give advices anonymously. But if you find out the identity of your Angel, then there's nothing else you can do except to pretend that you're still clueless. :/
On the other hand, an Angel will have an Angel. Which means that an Angel will also be a Master. Does it still make sense? I don't know. The cycle basically goes on in a circle.
So, to decide who our Master will be, we decided to draw. We wrote initials (names can be used too) in even-sized scraps of papers, folded it and put it together. We also used an additional 5 scraps of paper without any intials BECAUSE it failed terribly when we used only 5 papers. :/ If there's too little people, you'll end up drawing your own initial, or in my case, my sister's too.
10 papers seemed to solve the problem. If we pick up a paper with our own initial or a plain paper, we'll have to refold it and put it back onto the table. Finally, finally, after a looong time, we each settled on a Master.
BUT. I found out who my Angel was. Accidentally. :_:
The story is like this. There was only 2 of us left to draw and aside from 5 plain papers, there was one with my initial and one with my current Master's initial. I picked my own and put it back while keeping an eye on it. Then I picked up an initial and realised that everyone had finished drawing except for that one last person. SO. I must be her Master and she has to give me advices while I pretend that I absolutely have no idea who she is. :_: It spoils the fun a lil, but I can't do anything about it.
I guess I'll just amuse myself by reading her replies.
Initially, Sherron recommended this game because its supposed to strengthen your friendship. I don't know - we're giving it a try.
So if you find this amusing, go try it out or something! XD
Btw, we communicate via letters and we're allowed to print to avoid recognition. Our game officially starts tomorrow when we meet up in the library and exchange letters!
