So yesterday I went out on an outing with my usual friends (at Sunway, again) but this time Lay Si wasn't able to come. T^T Everytime one of us are unable to come, it feels like something's missing. Its just not complete without the 5 of us, but we couldn't help it. Her mum doesn't allowed her because she's going to a bday party this Sun, which I'm going too so its not all that bad.
Reached there quite early and went straight up to the arcade and became the first customers on Dance Evolution Arcade and Maimai. XD It was my first time trying out Maimai and it was so freaking fun! I think all in all I went to the arcade 4 times yesterday and on the 2nd visit, we bought the aime card which costs RM18, OMG. ITS SO EXPENSIVE.
Oh and if you wanna purchase the e-Amusement pass for DEA, I recommend you buy it at 1Utama instead of Sunway because they sell the card at RM18 in Sunway and just only RM11 in 1U. Luckily I bought mine in 1U. LOL
This is so unfair.
For brunch, we ate at a crepes stall in Asia Avenue and I got my crepes + drink at only RM7.90. IT WAS SOOO WORTH IT. The size of the drinks are bigger than the regular Chatime drink size and the crepes are super fulfilling. At least for me. But this great offer only lasts for Ramadhan month so I guess its gonna be expensive once the festive season ends. OTZ By the time I finished, I was on the brim of vomiting. LOL
After that, we watched Despicable Me 2! I know I'm awfully outdated. It was funny and overall I think its better than the first movie which I found to be a tad boring. My fav character has to be agent Wilde, I mean, she's so funny! I love her quirky ways and how she's so full of enthusiasm! Understandably, a lot of people love the minions, but I actually find them... ordinary? I mean, why do some people get so crazy and fangirl/boyish over the minions?
But I admit I do LOVE their singing.
We went to the arcade again and I sms-ed Joey (cousin) to let her know we're going there because she said she wanted to try out DEA. By this time it was already late afternoon and people swamped the arcade. I realized that in Sunway there is a clear favourite on Maimai over DEA. Personally I love to see the advanced players play!
For no particular reason, we sat there just looking at people playing and also waiting for Joey and Li Ling, her friend, to arrive. In front of us, 2 guys were playing DEA and we watched on. Then a girl about 12 walked in and went to the other machine and I think its her first time playing. The thing is, she doesn't know how to operate the machine and got frustrated, so I went over to help her.
I told her what to do and after a while she was like "Can I not play this?" and I was like "Sure." and I went back to my seat. She went away; but then, you can't take back your coins when you're already in the Select Song part. Her mum was sitting behind us and I was like maybe I could play her rounds since its gonna be wasted anyway. The mum let me play and you cannot imagine how FREAKING HAPPY I FELT. I'm like FREE GAME, YEAH.
Because of countdowns, the machine had chosen a song, and then because of countdowns again (and my misconduct), I had to dance Extreme mode to an unknown song. QAQ I was freaked out. It was a dance by that black guy character and its not something I normally chose (because I just play girls dances, for now anyway). Well I tried my best to copy his moves but in the middle of the dance, I failed and was directed to the Select Song screen.
At least I still have a song to play to, LOL, so I chose Hey Mickey which is like my fav dance ever on DEA because its so fun. I chose Extreme and just dance my heart out. It was so worth it.
After the game I asked if they wanted to have their RM3 back, upon my sis's idea but they didn't want it, so yay! After that, Joey and Li Ling came and I played a round with Joey. She was so freaking shy and I told her that if she doesn't wanna seem lame, she can choose some song that I don't know the steps to. But I guess I had seen most of the dance steps already. LOL
So she chose the songs and we danced and she doesn't believe me when I say that I don't really know the steps. The thing is to pretend like you know the steps, and you'll be fine. *knowing nod*
Then I played a round with sis using the dances we're most familiar with which was Luka Luka Night Fever and Hey Mickey. I chose Stealth for both for the first time and then scored A. XD *happy* The most combo I got was 80++ I guess which is, for me, really awesome because I'm a newbie.
We sat back down and waited for our turn to play Maimai. Damn, are those guys over there hogging the machine or what? We had waited so long, but nevermind, we let them play since they came first. QAQ After a while I thought they are not playing so we went up and was about to insert our coins when this guy came over and was like "I- I put my coins in already" and had this really puppy-miserable face. I was like OK and went back to sitting down. (After that, we got our turn. XD)
When I was sitting and looking at another 2 guys playing DEA, there was an empty chair between me and this random guy. It was awkward. I was like "Don't laugh at the dancers" and "OMG, don't do anything suspicious" and stuff and then he looked several times at me and then leaned to the side and strike up a conversation.
I was like oh God why.
"You have your own card, right?" he asked.
I was like yeah and he asked me why don't I try challenging some random stranger on DEA. In my mind, I was like hell no, why would I wanna challenge a stranger, but on another thought, I found it pretty amusing. I don't know about this challenging culture. I just smiled a bit.
I was thinking of saying "If you want me to challenge you, I can but I don't have enough coins now and I wouldn't mind if you treat me" but no. NO. LIKE WHAT THE HELL AM I THINKING.
Then we sent our friends off at the main entrance and went up to the arcade again to waste time until mum comes and fetch us.
Mum bought our bday cake and then we went to buy some groceries before heading home. Had a great bday all in all! Particularly, I was happy because
1) My classmates actually wished me happy bday on FB despite it not showing on my FB timeline.
2) Some close cosplay friends also wished me happy bday.
3) My kindergarten teacher wished me too!
4) My closest friends wished me bday too. THIS IS OBLIGATORY.
5) My youngest cousin made me a card which is so freaking sweet I can cry candies.
6) Ashley called me up to wish me happy bday! I nearly cried. Seriously.
I had never had such a happy day in such a long time. I was actually so excited the night before that I couldn't sleep, woke up in the middle of the night, and got up before my alarm came on. I was outright feeling high for my bday.
I also have to thank my sis for spending all my bdays with me!!
That's about all and I hope you don't mind the lengthy post! (Even if you do mind, its already written. >.^)
Happy Birthday to... ME!
