About some weeks ago, I was searching around the net and apparently got to know about Steampunk. I first knew about Steampunk in America's Next Top Model but didn't pay much attention to it.
But then, I investigated the subject and searched for pictures and I found that I love it! It totally combines my love for machineries and the Victorian era. But the Steampunk I saw, I felt like it lacked something that I couldn't quite point out. I much prefer a Steampunk style that leans more to simplicity, vintage and magical. Not vampire-like as in western. How do I explain this...
I liked it if it was more like Yuki Kajiura's music + fantasy + Steampunk; something like that. When I found out about Steampunk, it made me so happy to discover something as wonderful as the Victorian and Edwardian era. And I also like it more if it was Oriental Steampunk. It reminds me of the steam machines in Spirited Away so much~
I immediately fell in love with this costume. I think girls do imagine themselves as princesses, but if I were a princess, I would be wearing this costume and riding this:
That would be so freaking awesome. I would be a badass warrior-princess that leads the troop. Oh God, I'm getting excited now.
This would be my homeland. Full of orange lights and emitting magical energy. LOL Ever since I watched Spirited Away when I were young, I had wanted to live there. XD And especially the boat she saw; it was so beautiful! So oriental! That building she works in too; it was so amazing.
More pictures!
And locations I would love to visit. ;_;
Try never. ;_; Steampunk reminds me a little of Letter Bee, Ghibli Studio's animations, Pandora Hearts and Kuroshitsuji; you get the idea. Looking at Steampunk pictures while listening to Yuki Kajiura's music is love~ It reminds me a little of Alice in Wonderland too. <3
Gonna end this post now and yes, I remembered I said that I will post up pictures of my Teachers' Day. I'm so sorry... ;_; Its gonna take a while. Ice-skating tomorrow, excited!, bye~
