Roadrun and I Nearly Got Hit By a Car

Came back from school; so tiring... OTZ Road run's over. I got 21 out of the Form 4 and Form 5 girls competing, which makes me about 21/150++? I don't know how many girls came. Only students that got 1-20 will get a medal, which makes me behind the 20th girl. Arghhh!!! She was just so close to me!

But I guess I was pretty good this year, considering last year I was one of the last girls. LOL I was sick, okay... Can't afford to miss roadrun. XD I ran with my sister and she got 22, well, she kind of let me arrive first. I am so grateful. *_*

I completed the 5++km run in about 25 minutes? That's normal for me I guess. Last year, I took about 40 minutes to arrive. *cries* I didn't get to train this year as I was busy studying for exams. When I started running, my legs got jelly-ish and I was kinda panicking because I thought my legs are gonna give in on me. But after a while, it got back to normal, thank God.

I started having headaches, my lower face started getting a funny tingling sensation like it was gonna cramp or something and my body started to get painful. At least this time, my side isn't painful or anything; its so damn suffocating to run with a painful side!!

But out of all that happened, I was glad that I got such a front place. I would never had expected it. I thought I would be about 30-50 but then I saw Laura in front of me holding a pink paper with the number 20. Then, at that moment, I don't know if I should be happy that I had exceeded my own expectations, or feel sad that I was this close to getting a medal. OAO OK, maybe a little of both, but what's over's over.

My team (blue team) got 2nd place. We won 1st last year. At first I assumed that it was because the F1 and F2 students were not such good runners, but then I discovered that the problem lies at the fact that very few students attend the run. Only 6 F1 girls attended and you can imagine why we only got 2 girls' winning places in the F1+F2 category. Honestly, I am kind of disappointed. The attendance in blue team was the lowest, I can't even believe it. It was almost half of other teams'. At least just come or something, so that we can claim marks for our team. T^T

Its not fair that others did their best while the other half just doesn't care. And some of our good runners didn't attend at all. Oh God why... But then again, even though you'll have points for every attendees,  the red group which had the most attendees, got last place. Everyone was baffled.

After I had finished, I went outside and waited for Lucy and Li Ying to arrive. Well well, aren't they taking their own sweet time. Then something happened. I was chatting with Lucy about I-don't-even-remember-what and then this two rebellious Indian guys just came dashing towards us. OK, well, I didn't know that they are coming or anything and when one of them suddenly shouted out "Excuse me!" before ramming between us, a car came.

I didn't know there was a car coming as we were now inside school grounds and nobody expect cars to be driving around inside school. Then as one of the Indian guys accidentally pushed me to the side (which I didn't think was quite so 'accidental', as anyone would know that you can just run somewhere else and not between us) and I nearly got hit by the car. Li Ying was freaked out, as she was just behind me. I was stunned.

If the car had been slower, I would have gotten hit by the car. Luckily I was stumbling to the side when the car had barely drove past me. I COULD HAVE DIED. QAQ That car was so damn close to me. Or if the Indian guy had 'accidentally' pushed me just a second earlier, my right foot could have been 'stepped' upon by the car's wheel.

Sometimes I don't see why people can be so stupid. They might have seen the car coming. But then again, you shouldn't barge in between people! Honestly! What if someone got hurt? I don't think they think about stuff like this. They are always entering others' classes when the teacher's not around and causing chaos throughout the school.

Hello, like get a life or something? Jeez, you have no idea what you are doing to your life by wasting your time. You have only yourself to blame if your future doesn't seem that bright. OK, I know this has nothing to do with that incident, but I can't help but complain. :/

Well well, its over anyway. ;_; Just glad and happy that I did my best. Goodbye, my last roadrun ever. :)
