About 3 weeks ago, I attended a Japanese Festival (held by JCKL) with my sis, a cousin and a friend; it was fantastic! I never thought I'd have the chance to go to one and I am eternally grateful. T^T I'm glad that I went. We arrived at my friend's house at noon and set off at about 4pm and returned at about 8-9pm because we had too much fun. XD
I wanted to stay longer but I had already explored everywhere, so it was quite boring by evening. Finally, I got to experience catching fishes using paper nets, like in animes! >.< I was so happy! I always wondered how it was like and I did it. XD Got 3 fishes - none of them using the paper nets, mind you; the staffs let everyone have 3 fishes upon paying, so even if you got none, you can still get fishes by scooping them out with the plastic container. But, you know, you'll never feel as accomplished...
Other than that, I tried shooting - but I never hit anything. I paid for 2 more tries, but none succeeded and the staff just have to laugh out 'zannen desu ne!' which means 'too bad!'. OTZ Its unfortunate that I can understand him; he totally made me slump on the booth counter. But! The good thing is, you paid for this, and even if you never hit anything, they let you choose something from a side basket.
They have a variety of stuff there, but not really anything was of interest to me, so I ended up taking 2 pens with cute chibi models on top and an adorable duckling mini-notebook. At least it was worth it to try... I should have paid RM50, purchase 10 bullets, and shoot the hell out of that giant Hello Kitty plushie sitting on top. Hey, maybe I should have done that...
Anyway! We went to a purikura booth. XD But only my sis and cousin are playing it with me because I doubt my friend wanted to join us since he's the only male. Wouldn't have minded though if he wanted to try it out. We took silly pictures and stuff, rushed to decorate the photos, and waited for a lifetime for the pictures to get printed. We were literally squatting behind the booth, waiting for the pictures to drop down.
Unfortunately, I am only equipped with my phone and can barely take nice pictures, especially when the sky's dawning. <.< If only I had a camera... Buuuuut I broke it about a month ago; birdbrain.
Here's basically the lamps hanging above the booths.
The aisle before it got busy.
Work of students.
The hallway of the middle school~

A cute kid we met while waiting for my friend's mum to come pick us up!
He (she?) was really cute and friendly!! *gushing*
He called out 'mata!' ('see you!') to us!
Too cute!!! <3 <3 <3
That had probably got to be the day I heard the most usage of the Japanese language. It was like Japanese everywhere. It'll take a little getting used to, I supposed. >.< I was panicking when I have to order food and stuff, especially when they start speaking to me in Japanese. OTZ I totally blanked out facing the real thing; all the Japanese language knowledge I have in my head flew off to the land of nowhere.
But I hope that I'll get a chance to attend it again! Maybe next year! It was seriously fun and I wanted to go there again~ >.< Hope I'll get to attend Bon Odori this year since I'd never had a chance too. =3= But its gonna be jam as hell. OTZ
That's all for this post~ Stay tuned for upcoming posts! \(^.^)/
